A warm welcome to Mark Searle who joins Stacuity as Global Business Development Director.
Mark has significant and varied industry experience, spanning telecoms, IoT, security, and enterprise technology. He will play a key role in developing propositions and driving customer adoption.
Q: Tell us about your career to date
A: “My career has been deliberately varied. I’ve worked across consulting, systems integration, managed services, and product-led organisations, spanning telecoms, IoT, security, and enterprise technology. That mix has given me a practical understanding of how technology is designed, sold, integrated, operated, and ultimately monetised in the real world. I’ve spent time advising customers on strategy, helping service providers and integrators build and deliver complex solutions, and working inside fast-moving technology companies taking new services to market globally.
Across all of those roles, the common thread has been bridging the gap between technical capability and commercial outcomes—making complex platforms usable, scalable, and valuable for customers. Some of the places I have worked include smaller companies, such as Voyager Networks in the U.K., but also larger multi-nationals such as KPMG Consulting, Atos Origin, HP Enterprise Services, Ericsson, and Aeris Communications.”

Q: Why did you choose to join Stacuity?
A: “Stacuity stood out to me for two main reasons: the opportunity and the culture. From a market perspective, the company is addressing a genuine gap—enabling global edge and connectivity services that are faster to deploy, more flexible, and more commercially realistic than traditional approaches. That aligns closely with the challenges I’ve spent my career helping customers and partners navigate. Equally important was the culture. I was drawn to Stacuity’s collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial way of working.”
“Compared with more established organisations, there is a stronger sense of shared ownership, pace, and trust, which creates a more positive and engaging environment. I was also keen to return to a setting where no two days look the same. The variety and problem-solving that come with a scaling business—balancing strategy with hands-on execution—is something I find energising and where I do my best work.”
Q: What will you be doing at Stacuity and what impact do you hope to have?
A: “As Global Business Development Director, my primary focus will be driving revenue growth through strategic partners, service providers, and enterprise customers. Beyond that, my aim is to help Stacuity translate a strong technical platform into clear, repeatable commercial value that can scale globally. Given Stacuity’s current stage, I expect the role to extend well beyond traditional business development. Having worked across consulting, systems integration, managed services, and product-led environments, I’m used to operating where priorities shift and new challenges emerge.”
“That might mean helping shape propositions, refining partner models, supporting early customer deployments, or feeding real-world market insight back into product and delivery teams. By leveraging that broader skillset, I hope to contribute wherever the business most needs it at any given time—reducing friction, accelerating decision-making, and helping the company move from opportunity to outcome more quickly. Ultimately, the impact I want to have is to help Stacuity build momentum: winning the right customers, enabling successful deployments, and laying the foundations for sustainable, long-term growth.”
Q: What are you most looking forward to?
A: “I’m genuinely looking forward to getting started. There’s a real energy that comes with joining a business at this stage, where ideas move quickly and everyone has the opportunity to make a visible impact from day one. I’m also keen to get to know the people at Stacuity—their skills, perspectives, and what they care about building. Understanding how individuals and teams work best together is critical in a growing company, and I value the chance to learn from others while contributing my own experience.”
“Alongside that, I’m looking forward to building new professional relationships and friendships as we work towards shared goals. Ultimately, I’m excited about combining that people-focused aspect with the challenge of driving meaningful business outcomes—helping customers succeed, growing the company, and being part of something that is still being shaped rather than simply maintained.”
