We are delighted to welcome Marc Borland as our new Integrations Engineer.
Marc has spent over 25 years within the IT sector, working on hardware, network support and software development. He will play a key role in supporting the onboarding of new customers.
Q: Tell us about your career to date
A: “I have been in the IT industry for more than 25 years, initially in hardware and network support before gradually moving towards software development, with a keen interest in the automation of technical processes. Working initially for a large bank in South Africa, I have also spent considerable time working across both small and medium companies in the UK. Most recently I worked for Derivco for nearly 20 years, split between South Africa and the Isle of Man. I have always enjoyed being immersed in a mix of hands-on technical engineering and programming.“
Q: Why did you choose to join Stacuity?
A: “Having worked for both large corporations and smaller firms, I’m excited to become part of a team where I can have a direct impact and see the results of my work. My brief exposure to the workplace culture through my conversations during the interview process has also given me a strong feeling that it will be a great environment to work in.”
Q: What will you be doing at Stacuity and what impact do you hope to have?
A: “I will be joining as an Integrations Engineer acting as a bridge between Stacuity’s platform and our customers’ systems. I believe the role has a lot of potential as I have the opportunity to simplify and optimise the technical process of systems integration and ultimately help to improve onboarding.”

A: “I know the learning curve is steep, but I’m really looking forward to getting a solid understanding of the Stacuity platform and how everything fits together and then using that knowledge to make a meaningful and positive impact as soon as possible.“
