WHAT IT IS

What is Shortest Path (AI)?

Our Shortest Path (AI) feature removes the need to build and maintain separate routing rules for every region. Instead of configuring a routing target per country or per Edge Site, one “Auto” target covers all of them. Traffic is automatically sent to the appropriate regional internet breakout location based on where the connection originates.

A device connecting through a European mobile network breaks out to the internet in Europe. A device connecting through a US network breaks out in the United States. No manual selection, no per-region rule sets.

Set a routing target’s Region field to “Auto” in the Stacuity platform and it becomes valid globally.
